And the Winner is ...

While I am packing my bag to check out of the Vancouver hotel room, my phone beeps … I have an email … I see it is from the Diagnostics Centre; they are sending a copy of the results of my pet scan.

I don't realize that I as well as the naturopath would receive a copy, so I finish packing and check out before using the lobby internet to read my report.

The moment I have been waiting for has arrived. I read the report, and I read AGAIN, and I read it again ...

Sooo, here it is everyone…

PET-CT REPORT

PROCEDURE:                          FDG/PET TUMOUR SURVEY

INDICATION:  Lobular breast carcinoma

TECHNIQUE:  389 MBq of FDG was administered intravenously following a six-hour fast and informed consent.  Prior to injection, blood glucose level was 5.3 mmol/L.  Approximately one hour post-injection, low mA non-contrast CT and co-registered emission PET images were obtained from the base of the brain to the proximal thigh.

PETCT FINDINGS:  A normal biodistribution of activity is present throughout the whole body as imaged from the skull base to the midthigh. Specific there is no increased activity present involving the left breast. No increased metabolic activity is present involving the liver, or solid intra-abdominal organs with note made of hysterectomy.

The bony structures are within normal limits for age.

No pulmonary nodules are present.

No worrisome axillary FDG avid adenopathy is present.

The first phone call is to my mom, and many are to follow.

I can’t think of the right words to describe the moment I get proof via medical techniques, after choosing naturopathic treatment ... doesn't it seem obvious that we would all benefit if the medical establishment and the natural healers worked together?

Since we,  the people here in Canada, are blessed enough to have medicare, then we the people should also take some responsibility for the chaos of our health system and the state of our health. We are what we eat!

Right now , I feel humbled about everything in my life.

And the Beat Goes On

Well I finally have a moment to share with all!
Life's rollercoaster is keeping me busy.

I had the chance to enjoy my niece's wedding on the weekend and get another checkup from the medical intuitive.

Zinc oxide was found again in my small intestine, and left breast. For the life of me I can't figure out where or how I'm picking this up.

Cancer and inflammation showed 10% in my left breast. I got lasered again to get rid of that and the zinc oxide, so there is no plan to cancel the pet scan......keep your fingers crossed!

Other than that, my body read a very good checkup. Just because my breast read 10% cancer doesn't mean the cancer is active; there were no signs to indicate that, so hopefully another shot of laser took care of it.

I've sure noticed a big change in my heartbeat. There are no more wonky heartbeats; that used to happen at least once a week. When I first got lasered, I was told that my aorta was very inflamed.

My energy levels are good, so I'm off to Burnaby on Wed. The test itself takes about 3 hrs, and I won't know the results for 3 to 5 days.

I'll explain the whole procedure when I get back. Until then, everyone cross your fingers and toes!

Take care for now!

Two Steps Forward, Two Steps Back

Well there's nothing like 2 steps forward and 2 steps back.

I'm busy, on the go; my setback is expensive vehicle repairs. Geez, can't seem to catch up!

I got my pet scan booked for Aug 21st in Burnaby. Now have to book flights and hotel rooms.

I feel really good!

I'm going to be busy the next couple of weeks so until then......enjoy summer! It's flying by.

It was a Snappy Birthday

I had a great time on my birthday; a few "sistas" came out from Regina for a sleepover, and a couple of the local gals joined us. We ate, drank and had lots of laughs! The rain stopped so we could enjoy a fire outside.

Thankyou girls for all the gifts and your precious company. Laughter IS the best medicine!

There is no more pain in my boob, so the nasty culprit got lasered.

As for the possible swelling, I guess I forgot that one boob is bigger than the other. Silly me!

I'm on the road for the next few days so until then.....go green! It's good for you!

I Can't Drive ... Fifty-Five!! Can I?

Finally home! I've been on the road for a week.

O.K. everyone, I know you are waiting to hear about the concerns that I've been having..........Wanna see my Happy Dance again?

I got checked out by the medical intuitive while I was home for my niece's wedding. What I picked up was giardia, which is a parasite that usually comes from water. The parasite settles in the ascendant colon and goes to the weakest part of your body and in me it was my left breast and she also found it in my muscles. So, 2 rounds of laser took care of that.

She also found zinc oxide in my liver. Zinc oxide is found in underarm deodorants which I don't use so I don't know where I picked that up from.

I'm pretty sure that I know how I picked up the parasite from water. In my village, I go to the town water building for RO water. What I don't do is javex my jug every time, so I will definitely do that on a regular basis.

She checked me out from head to toe. There is no inflammation, no cancer, no nothing...I'm good to go! Yeeehaw!

My day starts with a glass of barleygreen (I prefer the powder mixed with water). Next is breakfast, which is always a super green smoothie.

In my smoothies are  3 large kale leaves (cut out the stems), 1 inch of ginger, about 5 stems of parsley, 6 inches of cucumber, 1 avocado, 5 tbsp of hemp hearts, 1 cup of blueberrries, 2 tbsp of lime juice and a cup of water or almond milk. That blender is packed! It makes 2 big smoothie cups and I drink it all!

My neighbor and I went together and ordered the sea minerals; they have arrived and I had my first taste today. 1 tsp a day, you dilute it with water or juice...it doesn't taste that great but I don't care. When the order came, added info was in the package telling us to also add Barley greens to our diet, which we already do, and of course to eliminate red meat, soy products, alcohol and smoking.

I'm not going to live in a bubble, but obviously what I'm doing is working!

I do enjoy a glass of red wine and I still haven't beat those stinky cigarettes, but someday I will conquer that addiction.

I am going to book the pet scan for sometime shortly after the 17th of August, as that will give me one more checkup before I go.

I feel terrific. I have also started jumping again on my rebounder (mini-trampoline) to oxygenate and strengthen my body. I'm sitting at 115 lbs, no aches and pains, it's all GOOD.

I'm off this week so hope to get caught up with house and yard stuff.

I turn 55 on Saturday. It can't be; just yesterday I was 20! My oh my, how life is speeding by.

I'm working some fairs and exhibitions this summer, so if I'm not reporting in on a regular basis, you know that I am working.

Until next time, have a super green smoothie and put a big smile on your face. Have a great week everyone!

P.S. My surgeon's office still hasn't got back to me. I guess I'm not a welcome patient.

Delaying the Pet Scan

I was going to book the pet scan today, but will put it off for a bit. I've had the odd pain in my left breast and have been watching it closely every day. It looks a wee bit swollen and that doesn't sit well with me.

So I am going to get re-checked by the medical intuitive and will repeat the protocol that I followed before. I need to be sure about all of this, and am not wasting all that money on a pet scan until I feel satisfied with all results.

Sorry I haven't been writing much but have been so busy trying to keep up with life. Will write more at the beginning of next week.

Plugging Through June

June 14th is the appointment with my surgeon. That morning the phone rings and it is his secretary calling to cancel. She doesn't say why, only that she will get back to me. . . . . . not sure what that's about.

I am going to see about getting the cyst removed from my shoulder, but I also find out from the medical medium that it can be lasered.  I have two 16-minute rounds of laser in Chicago,  but it's not enough and I'm not sure when I can get more treatments done.

It looks like the pet scan will be done at the end of July.

I'm feeling fabulous! I have a super green smoothie every morning,  and the whole food thing is coming together.  I found some more great food recipes for the alkaline diet on Pinterest.

Sunday 16 June 2013

Chicago!

I had the pleasure of working a health conference in Chicago on June 7, 8, & 9; what an experience! To be surrounded by everything natural for products, and talk with medical mediums and naturopathic doctors,  was more than reaffirming to me that there are so many things we all can do to help ourselves!

There were many speakers there throughout the weekend, including the one that lasered me. One of the speakers was Bill Kurtis from 48hrs or Dateline. His topic was "Death By Food." We eat so unhealthily, it’s no wonder our medical system can't keep up.

The most intriguing product I saw was "Sea Minerals" that can be taken  by humans or used on crops. Did you know that sea water is the richest life-sustainable and life-enhancing source of ionic water-soluble minerals, both macro and trace? A fetus develops in its mother's uterus, suspended in a solution not unlike sea water. Blood plasma, the fluid of blood minus the red cells, is chemically almost identical to ocean water.

Gerry Amena from Queensland was crippled from rheumatoid- and osteo-arthritis. Three vertebrae in his lower back were completely worn — all the cartilage gone. Doctors wanted to fuse them together, but Gerry didn't like that idea. Sea minerals came on the market for agriculture and he used them on his crop and vegetables. He was amazed at the difference, and started to consume sea water himself. In 3 weeks he
noticed a difference and 12 months later, he returned to his doctor and had another X-ray done. It found his  cartilage was all restored.

Sea Minerals are used for everything: viral infections, Parkinson's, diabetes, heart, thyroid, psoriasis, and Alzheimer’s disease, just to name a few. Gerry takes one teaspoon with his evening meal and it totally alleviates his arthritis.

For more information, the website is www. seaminerals. com. I'm gonna get me some!

Letter to Kathy

I had a great weekend, cut all the grass (glad that's over), fired up the wood stove on the stone patio and had some neighbors over. I lit the stove again last night and had a quiet little fire all by myself!

I'm on the road on Thursday, off to Leduc. I hope I make some money; pretty broke.

The big news is, I will be getting a Pet scan done in July!

DMSO

DMSO stands for dimethyl sulfoxide. It has a long battle history, according to Nature's Healer by Dr. Morton Walker. The book points out flaws in the FDA procedure for approvals.

"Those of us who have been using the drug for many many years never dreamed that it would become a focal point in the continuing battle between individual freedom and the power of the government."

The substance has been employed safely and successfully by millions of people around the world to control swelling and reduce discomfort. It is safe and effective, and has the ability to penetrate cellular membranes and enhance the penetration of other molecules.

DMSO should be the initial treatment of choice for all acute destructive bodily processes. It could save many lives or reduce many injuries if it was in every ambulance and medical facility.

In the US, it has been approved by the FDA for use against interstitial cystitis. It is legal in 50 states for treatment of stroke, burns, arthritis and whatever other purpose the doctor deems appropriate.

There are many many uses of DMSO. It can be used as  a carrier, but it also kills cancer cells. Here are some links for more information:

That should get you started.

You May Be Drinking, But That Doesn't Mean You Are Hydrated

Drinking water doesn't equal hydration. Our body consists of 70% water. 75% of the world's population is chronically dehydrated. Research confirms that most of the water we consume daily is aligned in a chaotic, large cluster that makes it difficult for our bodies to absorb and optimally hydrate, ultimately leading to unintentional yet chronic dehydration.

 Dehydration can cause:

• uneven skin tone
• premature onset of wrinkles
• anxiety and/or depression
• headaches
• joint pain
• excess weight
• sleepnessness
• lack of focus
• fatigue

When we are born, the water molecules in our cells are aligned in a single file. Our young bodies even convert any water that we drink into a single-file alignment.

As we age, our body's ability to convert the water we drink into the single file alignment dramatically decreases. Our body's hydration levels become compromised.

Through his discovery of "Aquaporins," 2003 Nobel Prize Winner Dr. Peter Agre has proven that in order for water to be optimally effective in the body, the water molecules must be aligned in a single file structure.

Thus comes the patent for “iwater” systems from Gia Wellness.

The benefits of iwater include:

• significantly increasing the body's hydration levels
• supporting optimal nutrient absorption
• helping the body’s detoxification process (supporting healthy intestinal flora)
• promoting youthful skin by assisting natural skin hydration and collagen production
• helping to neutralize free radicals
• supporting powerful antioxidant effects

Iwater is shown to display antibacterial and antifungal properties, therefore is one of the most effective anti-aging technologies available.

I purchased a machine to treat my own water and have been using it for almost a month now (remember how dehydrated I was?). In a matter of days others were remarking on the difference in my skin. I even put drops of the water in my Mom's eyes one night and it cleared her tired, aching eyes. Now that my body is being hydrated properly, I can drink water without having to use the washroom constantly.

Every household should have one of these machines, so I have joined this company. Check out my webpage. The company also has other wellness products that you may be interested in.

Even if you are looking for a wrinkle remedy, maybe all you need is proper hydration. On the company’s brochure there is a pic of a woman's skin; she has been using iwater for 7 months and the difference is quite amazing. She drinks it and sprays it on her skin.

And that's what I know about that!

Ever Checked Your PH Balance?

PH test strips can be purchased at any drugstore; they are cheap there but I haven't always found them as reliable as those purchased at a health food store.

PH strips can be used with your saliva or urine. The truest test would be done mid-day at least 2 hours since you've eaten or drank.

The strips come with a chart. It is ideal to test 7.4 alkaline.

If you register 6.5 or below, you should consider some serious diet changes.

The Alkaline Sisters have a Food Chart you can use to see what foods will help you get where you want to go, balance-wise.

Prove It

May 8th. I'm going home with all my new foods and alkaline helpers, to reorganize my cupboards and get back to life as I know it.

Next I want to make another appointment with my specialist.  Will he even see me?

How do I prove that I am cancer free?

May 15th. I finally phone my surgeon to make an appointment regarding my situation. I talk to his nurse (his wife). When I tell her who I am, she asks if this is regarding my followup. I tell her that I am cancer free and ask if there is any test that can be done to prove it. She says that as far as the medical field is concerned, unless I have had the cancer cut out, it is still there.

I ask about a pet scan, but unless I am under medical treatment, a doctor will not sign a requisition for one to be done. A requisition would not be recommended until after treatment (surgery, chemo, radiation).

I make an appointment anyway because I have a cyst on the right shoulder that I wish to get removed. It is large enough that I can't wear sleeveless tops anymore. There is reluctance in her reply, but an appointment is booked for June 14th.

I spend the rest of the afternoon searching for private clinics in Canada that do pet scans. The ones that are listed as private are actually hospitals, so without medical referrals I can't get in. A few phone calls more, and finally a conversation with a receptionist at the Centre of Advanced Diagnostics in Burnaby, BC.

I also need a requisition to go there. I explain my whole story and she asks if I have a naturopathic doctor and I reply yes. She says she will get back to me within the hour; she will ask the manager if a naturopathic physician can sign the requisition required.

I get a phone call back within 15 minutes.....the answer is YES! Yahoo!

The fee is $2850.00, taxes included. Hoo boy.

To Believe or Not to Believe

I tell Mom the flabbergasting news and we say to each other, “Who’s going to believe this! ” I make a couple of apprehensive calls, and can tell by the voices on the other end of the line that they aren't buying it. Well, I believe it and so does Mom.

Throughout the coming week there are more phone calls, some very lengthy and interesting. Next I need to prove it. My nipple looks great, the colour is back to normal, and it's not sore at all. It doesn't look the same — because of the biopsy — but I can live with that.

The following week requires yet more food shopping. I spend lots of time on the internet, searching for recipes for an alkaline diet, which isn't all alkaline — it's about 80% alkaline and 20% acid. Whew. . . I can have some chicken and fish.

At this point I absolutely refuse to put anything in my mouth that would feed the cancer. The only sugar my body gets is from the maple syrup laced with baking soda. Cancer thrives in yeast, mucous and fungus. I have been fighting yeast in my body ever since my full hysterectomy 10 years ago.

<<>>

It's now May 1st. I've made more phone calls to announce my "Happy Dance" but I can hear it in their voices . . . . not so much belief.

At the time of the biopsy, my blood levels were above normal and my oxygen levels were 100% (I am a smoker and not proud of it). The specialist doesn't feel any physical signs that cancer is in my lymph nodes.

I've been complaining about a sore lower back for 2 years, and no longer have any back pain or any pain at all. A plantar wart on my big toe (also my left side) is beginning to come out (I've tried everything under the sun to get rid of that sucker). I feel like a million dollars. The medical medium found gadolinium throughout my spine, but I guess it is gone.
There is no soreness of my breast and the color is totally back to normal. Another thing I've noticed is that my night sweats have dimininshed (I'm 54).

May 5th, checkup. The medical medium re-reads me and finds a little gadolinium still in my brain and tells me my third eye is off balance, so laser again and now a clean bill of health. . . .  no inflammation, no poisons, no bacteria, NO CANCER .

Tuesday 14 May 2013

Wanna See My Happy Dance?

There is a medical medium (who wishes to stay undisclosed for various reasons) who knows I'm fighting this naturopathically, and she asks to see the products that I'm taking so on April 27th off I go!

She “reads” my products and asks to read me. This is where the fun begins! She reads my body from top to bottom and tells me that she reads the cancer in my left breast and also in one lymph node. She also reads “gadolinium” pretty much everywhere on the left side of my body, but also in my spine and brain, throughout my muscles, everywhere, though not so much on my right side.

Gadolinium is the poison from old fillings in my teeth that have leaked at some point. She figures that's what started the cancer.

Hmmm… I had an infected tooth about a year ago (on my left side) that took 2 rounds of antibiotics to get rid of . . . and I still have about 6 old fillings in my mouth that have been there since I was a kid.

Now she wants to laser me; she has been working with the laser for 2 or 3 years now with tremendous success. As she is lasering me she says my cells are so tight and clumped together that my body is not really absorbing what I'm giving it. She asks me to drink this particular glass of water, which I do. (I will talk about realignment of cells in a bit!)

I have been drinking copious amounts of water to gear up for the detox that I'm going through with my products (see My Helpers) and still complaining to my mom that I'm dehydrated — so dehydrated that the tops of my hands are chapped (I have oily skin so this is very unusual).

The medical intuitive continues to laser me. She does my breast 3 times and my brain twice, and all the rest of my body. When she has finished the laser treatment she tells me that the water opened up my cells, so now they are accepting whatever it is that I'm putting into my body. . .

Then she announces that I am CANCER FREE!

I am in shock.

She asks to see me in another week to check me again, because cancer cells sometimes revert back.

I will continue to stay on the program of everything I am taking, but I drive back to my mom's in a daydream.

Mind's Made Up

From day one, my heart, mind and soul were telling me to not do surgery, and for some strange reason I am not worried about a thing, although everyone around me is! My mind is absolutely certain that this will work. Oh, the power of the mind.

Help and support are all around me. My mom is incredible as always. And my friends are the best. I am overwhelmed by goodness and caring from all. What a journey indeed:

By April 11th I'm following the protocol, waiting for M.M.S. to arrive.

Just a few days of applying D.M.S.O. and there is a definite change in the appearance of my nipple. The redness is pretty much gone; now the scab is off so I can see the complete incision. I won't have much of a nipple left but I can live with that.

The M.M.S. has arrived and I'm at my mom's now to heal. I have explained all to her and she is behind me 100%. Mom has been plagued with phlegm for years and has tried everything under the sun, via doctoring and naturopathic, and nothing has worked. The phlegm is so bad it chokes her at night. She is going to take the M.M.S. also, so we will do that together.

On April 19th, I call to cancel surgery. My doctors (family and specialist) do not agree with my decision, but I expect that.

I decide to check my ph levels and am disappointed to discover I'm still very acidy. Upon further reading I find that it takes up to 90 days to get your body totally alkaline. I guess I was wishing for very fast results.

I have found a great website called the Alkaline Sisters, which is about the foods and recipes for following an alkaline diet.Another trip to the city is required to get more of the groceries I need. Now I am feeling satisfied with my food but I have lost 3 to 5 lbs, and on me it shows (I'm skinny to begin with). I need to figure out how to put that back on; I weigh 115 lbs.

It is now April 25th. Mom's phlegm is going away, and she is noticing that her arthritic aching (everywhere) is starting to lessen. I'm not noticing anything except the visual difference of my nipple. It looks very good!

Start as You Mean to Go On

The first thing I do is order Barleygreen. I took this for many years. It is your perfect food for vitamins and minerals. Check it out under "My Helpers."

Next, I start reading about cancer. How does it start? What causes it? I find some websites about naturopathic treatments.

Then I call a naturopath I met a couple of years ago. His cell number now belongs to someone else. I phone his clinic and always there is no answer, so I finally leave a voice mail....

I make a baking soda paste and put it on my incision, cover it and keep it on overnight. I do this for 3 days. Got the idea from reading about baking soda and cancer.

I open my fridge and give away all the salad dressings, eggs, yogurt, dairy, pickles, mustard, relish, ketchup... everything! I read that cancers and diseases thrive in an acidy body, so an alkaline body is what we should strive for. Food charts show me that the things I eat are pretty much all acidy. I have to feed my body correctly to be healthy. No meat, pasta, breads. Even some of the fruits should be minimal because of their sweetness. Did you know that some fruits can cause yeast in your body?

I pretty much live off nuts and fruit when I have to work that weekend away from home, and I am hungry!  The next week I'm off to town to figure out some food, but still come out of the health food store without enough! More reading about an alkaline diet.

Finally the naturopath returns my call. Now we are discussing a few things to take. The first one is baking soda and maple syrup. There are many websites on this ... here are searchwords till I find the links for you:
• baking soda, cancer & fungus - Natural News
• Jim Kelmun Protocol
There are many, so fill your boots!

We discuss other things to take: M.S.M.(it's anti-inflammatory; if you have cancer, you have inflammation). Also M.M.S. (miracle mineral solution) and D.M.S.O (vet strength). Please don't mess around with this last one unless you are under strict orders on how to use it. The vet strength is very toxic.

Now I read, read, read, think, think, think. I decide to start the protocol according to my naturopath. I still have a few days left to decide about surgery.

It Can Happen to Anyone

In September 2012 I notice something funny is going on with my left nipple. It's red on one side and sore to the touch. I don't think too much of it but over the fall months it hurts when I bump it accidentally. By December I am looking at it intensely and although it's not getting worse, it's not going away. Time to go see the doc.

In January the doctor recommends a mammogram, e.c.g., etc. All tests come back negative, but he refers me to a specialist. A needle goes into my nipple and comes back inconclusive. A biopsy is recommended.

March 20th I have a biopsy.
March 21st I'm diagnosed with lobular breast cancer.

(Lobular cancer begins around the nipple and represents about 10% of breast cancers.)

I work that weekend (good, no time to stew) and go back to the specialist at the beginning of the week.  A friend accompanies me — a second set of ears. She comes prepared with a list of questions (her husband went through cancer last year).

Doc recommends surgery with chemo to follow, and because I'm so young, reconstruction down the road. At the end of our conversation, he says, "See you on Thursday to sign the papers."

I'm bug-eyed. I only have 2 days to think about this?

We leave the office and I'm upset. My girlfriend settles me down by reminding me it's only to sign the papers. I still have 3 weeks before surgery, so there is some time to think. Surgery is now booked for April 24th.

And that’s when I start studying.
